Kombucha is a special type of fermented soft drink that’s naturally lower in sugars and calories. It’s a great alternative to sugary energy drinks. Sweetened tea is left to ferment in a container with some living things called bacteria and yeast. They work together to change the tea into something different and tasty.

The team of bacteria and yeast is called a SCOBY, which stands for "symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast." As the SCOBY eats the sugar, it creates lots of great things that are good for our bodies. These are organic acids, vitamins, enzymes, and probiotics that all aid in digestion. It’s also why kombucha has a tangy, slightly sharp taste.

You can then add different fruit juices, or botanicals and spices to kombucha to create an amazing range of different flavours. That’s why people love kombucha as a non-alcoholic alternative drink too.

Organic LAZY MOON comes in lots of bold flavours like fresh and tangy raspberry, smooth and tropical passion fruit, fiery and punchy ginger turmeric. Thanks to its special fermentation and brewing journey there is only a hint of tanginess compared to so many other kombucha. The good news is that not only does it taste great but it’s also good for your wellbeing. That’s because it’s raw and unpasteurised, with added probiotics (1.6 billion live cultures) and Vitamin C for immune health.

LAZY MOON is long fermented raw and unpasteurised kombucha. It takes more than one full cycle of the moon, before our kombucha is ready for bottling. A SCOBY ((a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) from our Mother Culture is placed in a tea mixture, sweetened with raw cane sugar.

The brew is left to ferment at room temperature. The SCOBY eats the sugar, converting it into health-giving energies and live cultures that are good for our bodies. Once we are happy with the fermentation level, we infuse the brew with real juices and spices. Then we add the probiotics and Vitamin C, before bottling our raw, unpasteurised LAZY MOON kombucha.

LAZY MOON is a raw organic product, so there can be a bit of variation in the flavour and appearance between brews. This shows it’s the real thing and reflects the growing, fermentation and seasonal variations of when it’s been produced.

We want to be happy, strong and healthy, so we add live cultures (1.6 billion bacillus coagulans) for good gut health, and vitamin C (25% daily intake) for immune health to our raw and unpasteurised kombucha. Our kombucha is free from all artificial flavours, sweeteners, colours, preservatives and GMOs.
